For any cancellations made prior to your arrival and until the end of April 2023 due to travel restrictions relating to covid-19 either in France or your country of origin prohibiting travel to France, if as a staying guest you booked direct with us a full refund will be issued within 14 days of cancellation. For all other reservations a credit note will be offered with a validity of 18 months from the cancellation date. If the credit note is not used within this time, the reservation will be refunded in full at the end of the 18 months.

For any other cancellations our usual conditions below apply:

Cost of cancellation before arrival
57+ jours : acompte / 57+ days : 30%;
29-56 jours avant / days before : 50%;
15-28 jours avant / days before : 70%;
0-14 jours avant / days before : 100%;

If you fall ill with coronavirus please note that a cancellation would be considered ‘cancellation due to illness’ and usual terms and conditions apply. In this case your insurance company should be contacted. If you choose to cancel because your country of origin imposes quarantine or other measures on your return home, or testing or declarations are required for entry in to France, the usual cancellation terms would apply.

We recommend our guests take winter sports travel insurance to cover all eventualities.


Bookings and payments

The Client means the person in whose name the booking is made. The meaning of Client also extends to all other persons on whose behalf the booking is made.  Where a group of individuals are concerned, the group leader is the one responsible for all payments.  A contract between the Client and Snowfox Holidays Ltd is considered valid after the required deposit to confirm the reservation has been made and received by Snowfox Holidays Ltd or SARL Hotel La Plagne and a confirmation invoice has been issued.  The holiday balance is to be paid in full no later than 28 days prior to the start date of the holiday (date of arrival). If these conditions are not fulfilled by the Client, Snowfox Holidays Ltd reserve the right to cancel the booking. Under these circumstances the Client forfeits any deposit which would have been paid.


Holiday cancellations by Snowfox Holidays Ltd or SARL Hotel la Plagne

In the most unlikely event Snowfox Holidays or SARL Hotel la Plagne should cancel your holiday they will endeavor to provide alternative accommodation of the same standard in the same resort. If the price of the alternative accommodation is less than the original price paid, the difference shall be repaid to the client. In the event that no alternative accommodation can be provided by Snowfox Holidays/SARL Hotel la Plagne, or the client wishes to find their own alternative, the full amount paid for holiday accommodation received by Snowfox Holidays/SARL Hotel la Plagne will be repaid in full to the client.

These conditions do not include circumstances arising from force majeure. The following are considered as amounting to force majeure: cancellation of holiday due to war, threat of war, riot, civil unrest, terrorist activity, natural disasters, pandemics and adverse weather conditions. For cancellations arising due to these circumstances, no repayment or compensation will be issued. Please ensure you have adequate insurance cover.


Holiday cancellations by the Client

The Client who made the booking should notify us in writing in order to cancel their holiday (letter or e-mail is accepted). The client must receive a notification confirming the cancellation has been received by Snowfox Holidays Ltd. Snowfox Holidays Ltd cannot be held responsible for non-receipt or non-delivery of the cancellation notice.

Cancellation charges apply as above.


The Client’s responsibility for accommodation

The person making the booking is liable to Snowfox Holidays Ltd and SARL Hotel la Plagne for any costs incurred due to any incidents, actions, breakages, loss or damage to the booked accommodation and its inventory by the person him/herself or any member of their party.  Snowfox Holidays Ltd or SARL Hotel la Plagne have full discretion as to the manner in which they deal with or settle any such incident.


Lost property

Snowfox Holidays Ltd or SARL Hotel La Plagne will not accept any responsibility for clients’ lost or damaged property.


Smoking

Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout Chalet-hotel les Rhododendrons. There is a designated smoking area outside.


Customer complaints

In the unlikely event of complaints arising, Snowfox Holidays Ltd, SARL Hotel la Plagne or Hotel resort staff should be notified at once. Any complaint notified after the end of the holiday will not be accepted. No complaints which are related to weather, snow conditions, travel delays or lift closures will be accepted.


Accommodation

No compensation claim will be accepted if any client finds accommodation decoration or room sizes not to their liking. The Rhododendrons reserves the right to allocate you an alternative room within the hotel if it is of the same or better standard to the room initially booked (for example you may be upgraded to a quad room if you have booked a twin room).


Refunds

No refunds will be made if any ‘free service’ cannot be delivered by Snowfox Holidays Ltd or Chalet Hotel Les Rhododendrons.


Law and jurisdiction

All reservation contracts made according to the terms of these booking conditions are governed by English Law and both parties shall submit to the jurisdiction of English Courts at all times.


Services provided by third parties – Extras

In the case of services booked through Snowfox Holidays Ltd or SARL Hotel La Plagne where the external suppliers provide the service to the Client (ski hire, transfers, ski lessons or any other suppliers), any contract is exclusively between the suppliers and the Client. Snowfox Holidays Ltd and SARL Hotel La Plagne do not accept liability for any loss, accidents or injuries caused while these services are being provided.

Lift passes can be changed or cancelled free of charge up to 1 week prior to arrival.

Ski hire can be changed or cancelled any time prior to collection.

Ski school is non-refundable within 1 month of arrival. There is some flexibility on changing lessons so contact us should you require changes.

Transfers can be cancelled free of charge up to 1 week prior to arrival. There is a 30% charge if cancelling up to 1 day in advance and 100% on the day of arrival.

Parking can be cancelled free of charge any time prior to use.
